01 / Manifesto
the pitch.
Someone once told me I should use their flywheel if I wanted my brand to grow. I didn't and it grew anyway . shocking!

Have you ever heard a podcast, read an article, or just seen a LinkedIn post that sounded really, really good? Where someone was sharing the ultimate playbook that definitely works, the sales process that makes your team indestructible, and that great game changer for SaaS growth?

Yeah. We've all been there.

I've clicked on those links. And hey, fair enough, some of those did work. And some sent me on a trip to Cringeville and my wine cabinet because I had to recover from thinking people get paid for this stuff.

So that's what this is. I'm Anna, and this is sounds good. — where I talk to SaaS folks who walked that yellow brick road. People who ran with it and can look me in the eye and tell me if it worked, or spectacularly didn't.

Because I'm not sure if playbooks are real. Or if there's a version of SaaS success you can follow like a recipe — or if every company that made it just had a great team, obsessive founders, and quite a bit of luck. And then someone wrote a LinkedIn post about it afterwards.

That's what I want to find out.

02 / What to expect

THREE THINGS
YOU WON'T GET.

Because if you wanted growth hack #47, my previous podcast has that already. ↳ this one is different.
no.01

No hacks.

If something grew 10× in a week, it was probably going to grow 10× anyway. I talk to the founders who know the difference.

no.02

No bs.

I'm going to ask honest questions and expect the same in replies. If a guest can't back it up, we'll admit it on the record.

no.03

No gurus.

Operators only. People who walk the walk not only talk the talk.

fair warning
03 / Who's asking

HI, I'M
ANNA.

PORTRAIT · 01

01

So — what do you actually do?

I've spent the last three years running growth at a holding company for SaaS products. Brand, comms, podcast, events, all the things. I've recently transitioned to rooting for them from the sidelines but also to build my own stuff and talk to others about how they do it.
02

Why a podcast?

I'm a much better asker than a talker. I hosted saas.unbound for 300+ episodes — founders I admire, hands-on advice, tons of learning. sounds good is the same energy unhinged with narrower focus: the stuff that sounds clever but might be nonsense.
03

What do you like to talk about?

SaaS exits (no-BS chats about how they actually work). Remote work — I've been slowmading for 15 years. AI for non-tech folks. Sustainable growth. Networking. Things I've shipped and things I've broken.
04

Are you building anything of your own?

Yes, there are several things I'm experimenting with under Capee Ventures with my wonderful co-founder. As an AI-tinkerer (who isn't, in 2026) and recently found the founder side surprisingly fun. Keeps me humble when I ask other founders hard questions.
05

How do I pitch a guest?

They have to have a good story and they have to be building something fun on the internet. Include their socials. Don't pitch because a feature is launching, this isn't a Time Square billboard. I want to talk to people who want to share cool sh*t.
